Bio:
Mike Thomson was the Surveyor General and Boundary Commissioner of British Columbia from September 2007 to Spring of 2019. Prior to that he was the City Surveyor for the City of Vancouver. Mike previously spent 10 years in private practice as a British Columbia land surveyor in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia. Mike was born, raised and educated in British Columbia and earned a Diploma of Technology from BCIT in Land Surveying in 1979 and received his commission as a British Columbia land surveyor in 1983.
Seminar Description:
Mike Thomson will discuss the need to understand the why behind survey legislation within context of ABCLS entry key competencies and knowledge areas.
