This seminar is the 5th in a 5 part series presented by the Association of BC Land surveyors. Seminar 5 provides information on accessing information about BC’s Agricultural Land Reserve and the Agricultural Land Commission. The seminar also reviews the eDAS system which is the electronic application submission and tracking system used by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure for rural subdivision applications and other applications for permits issued by MoTI. Next the seminar reviews information that is available through local government web sites and targets one local government as an example to show how to search for valuable information. The provincial government provides access to air photos and other useful information through its Base Mapping Online Store and the seminar takes you through the steps to find and order this information. Lastly the seminar covers the BC Laws Web site where you can easily access all statutes, regulations and orders in council for BC as well as other interesting legislative information.
